soooo….. it took my baby boy 16 1/2 months, but he is finally WALKING! quinn has actually been taking steps for a month or so, and has been cruising the house holding on to the walls, door trim, banister, and anything else he could use. he has been holding onto our fingers for a while & even trip has been holding his hands helping him walk from place to place for the past few weeks. last night, when chuck got home, he crawled to see him, then pulled himself to a stand. chuck turned him around & told him to “go see mommy” as i was kneeling about 5 feet away. he let go of chuck & walked to me like it was no big deal (usually this takes a lot of coaching to get him to take steps on his own). i turned him around & he walked right back to chuck so steadily. we were super excited & cheered him like a champ. today, when chuck got home from work, i stood him up & he walked all the way across the kitchen to see him & then back to me a couple of minutes later. he walked by himself several more times tonight & i was able to catch a few seconds on my camera. i was beginning to wonder if this day would come….. i’m sure it will take him a little while longer to truly master walking & balance, but i’ll take what i can get! the kid is getting WAY too heavy to carry around all of the time! YEA QUINN!! mama’s baby is growing up!! (note: in the 2nd video, i asked trip to walk beside quinn, but not to touch him. trip always wants to help quinn with everything, which may be part of the reason it has taken quinn this long to walk on his own)

Hooray for Quinn!! or as he would hear at our house “good job, buddy! I’m so proud of you!!” I know you’re excited; and I can totally understand the getting too heavy to carry around all the time.

That’s wonderful!! I love to see babies walk when they first start walking. It’s adorable. And then they start running and getting into everything before you know it.

Your boys are absolutely two of the cutest kids I’ve ever seen.

Way to go Quinner!! I am so proud of you. You should have mentioned you were ready to walk when you got your mother’s cell phone yesterday and called me (last number called, I guess).

YEA Quinn!! That is so crazy that you just posted that comment a day or 2 ago about him not walking and now he is! I know Zach will be doing the same thing very soon. He will walk holding onto one hand now, so he just needs to build up the confidence to do it alone. I know your arms are very relieved!! Mine are EXHAUSTED!

That’s awesome, congrats. It’s good to see that kid up and moving. I can’t wait to see him and Eli racing around the yard. It’s also cool to see Tripper being such a good wingman. At least Trip didn’t wait for him to take a few steps and then hip check him like I probably did to you.

Yeah! No more backaches! We hardly ever see Doug and Patrice. We did get to see them at the wedding though. We don’t see Michael. We used to go to church with Courtney. Now we don’t see her much. But we do keep in touch. It’s great to get back in touch with you. Erin
